The Vegetarian by Han Kang

i don't want to waste any more time on this book so this review will be brief.
i have to say, being in the heads of 4 mentally ill people isn't my preferred way of spending my free time, and thank god this book is small or else that would have been a lot of free time wasted. the book is hypnotic for sure, because reading through all that prose-heavy mental torment(?) makes my head spin.
and to think this book came from the author of one of my favourite books. Human Acts had intense suffering too, but for obvious reasons that was more rooted in reality than this book was.
the characters were obviously not written to be likeable. the men were trash. the FMC is beyond me. and the sister is slower than a slug. took her an entire book to realise to leave the FMC the fuck alone.
also, what the fuck is 'flowers blooming out of my crotch' ??
this the type of bullshit a man writes. wth.
